I used the skull stamp from the “Boo-tiful Cameos stamp set and stamped the skulls a few times to drape my card.  The Border trim is from the Celebration Labels One & Bracket Border. I stamped the border and fussy cut it to add some texture on the end of the card.  It pops off the card which is what I wanted. I also used Spellbinders Web die and cut the die shape into pieces since the web was bigger then my card.  The branches are also some Spellbinders and the frame of the card.

Cards Publication

Untitled4

I know this is an older publication of Cards Magazine, but I’m just now getting the information to post about this.  Recently, I submitted a card to Cards Magazine and they picked my card for their July issue.  I was really glad to hear it and I wanted to share the exciting news.

Here’s the publication right from the pages of Cards Magazine. It’s weird seeing my card published since I’ve been a fan of their magazine for such a long time…who knew?

Everything you see here except for the die cutting is from Anna Griffin’s Spooktacuar collection. The stickers, paper and die cut images are super easy to use.  I especially love the bat die cut paper.  I used it as background paper for this card.

Thanks for visiting and I’ll be back.

Too Cute to Roar

Hello cats details 2

You’re probably wondering, “why I’m I not making a Halloween card today?” These stamps didn’t scream Halloween to me even though they are dressed in costume.  They are just so adorable and I’m just out of ideas if I’m being honest…LOL

Hello cats detailsThis set has a lion, tiger and robot.  I think it’s missing a scarecrow…right?

Hello cats

I used a pocket die from Sizzix and Lifestyle Crafts feather die.  The paper is from American Crafts I got at Michaels.  The 6×6 paper pad does not have a name, but all the colors in this pad are neutral tones.  There’s dark brown, light brown, grey, cream and so on.  The patterns are simple and perfect for cards.  I finished the card with a string to pull everything together.

I’ll be back with more cards.  See you then!

To Boo or not to Boo

Boo

Hi there!  I’m back with another fun Halloween card and I hope you are enjoying the fun.  I wasn’t exactly sure what direction this card was going towards, but I knew it had to be a Halloween card.  My sentiment kind of explains the mood I was in.  I was in a boo mood and then I wasn’t.  Do you have moments like that?

Not a lot of people celebrate Halloween, but that’s okay.  I love the colors and the imagination and it’s probably the only time I will ever use purple…LOL

I fussy cut out the black cat from these adorable Vintage Halloween Dazzlers and tucked them behind my pumpkin.  I die cut out 3 or 4 pumpkins from Tim Holtz dies and glued them back to back so I get a 3D popped look.  Isn’t this paper great by Authentique’s NEW Thrilling line?  I love the mix of patterns and colors.  Perfect for Halloween!

Have you used Petaloo’s new Vintage DazzlersPetaloo release these adorable vintage images this past Summer CHA 2013.  I love them and think it’s perfect to use for cards.  They come in a pack of 4 styles and you get two of each so there’s a total of 8 images…nice!

Happy Sunday and thanks for stopping by.

World Card Making Day

Happy World Card Making Day!  I love making cards and today, I thought I keep with the spirit of Halloween and create this little pumpkin card.

PumpkinI used Tim Holtz Pumpkin Die and cut out 2 pumpkins and glued them back to back to create my card.  Next I used Spellbinders web die and cut the die into smaller pieces for webbing.  The die was too large for what I wanted so i altered it.  Then I used a label die from Spellbinders and Authentique’s NEW Thrilling line for my paper.  The flowers are from Petaloo’s Mini Textured collection, perfect for cards!

Looking forward to seeing the Facebook boards light up with cards.  Have a great day crafting and I’ll be back.

Owl or Bat?

Owl 2

What’s so great about digital images?  Absolutely everything, especially these adorable digital images from Chi Chi Memories.  I couldn’t decide if I wanted a bat or an owl so this is what I ended up with.   This digital is from the, “Happy Halloween” set.   It’s like having a stamp that you can alter anyway you want. I’m hooked!

Happy Halloween

I couldn’t decide if I wanted to use the bat since it took attention away from my stamp.  The owl won of course and so I cut the bat out and used his wings instead…LOL  I also used Hero Arts stamps for my background.  Tiny little bats make a great background.  The cloud dies are from PaperTrey,  The stamp word spooky is also from PaperTrey.  I used a white pen to highlight the wings to give it detail so they pop off the card. Finished the card with a bow…ta da!

Thanks for visiting and I’ll back with more Halloween fun.  See you soon!

Digi stamp for any Occassion

Robot

I’m so jazzed to work with these adorable creations from Chi Chi Memories.  This little darling stamp is from the NEW Costume Set 2  stamp.  It comes with a robot girl companion and two other animal costumes and sentiments.

Robot 2

I created a flap in front of the robot so I had a place for my sentiment.  My favorite part of using these stamps is that you can use them again for other themes.  For this image I plan to use it again for Valentine’s Day.  I think he’s perfect for that.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
