Taylor Expression SOTM Club

July-SOTM

I don’t think I ever posted this card so I thought I share today.  I created this card using Taylored Expressions Stamp of the Month (STOM). The stamps are rubber clings so all you need is an acrylic block for stamping and ink. The kits sell out fast so it’s not often you will see past STOM kits.  The kit I used is from July of 2013 so I’ve been addicted to these kits for some time.

Anna Griffin Inks & Stamps

Alice Christmas Wreath Stamp 4

I’ve been playing with Anna Griffin Inks & Stamps.  These stamps are very vintage and glamorous if that’s the look you are going for.  You can’t tell by looking at this picture, but I used embossing powder and the images pop right off the card.

Alice Christmas Wreath Stamp 3

I think this card is my favorite card out of the 4 I designed.

Alice Christmas Wreath Stamp 6

The background is a bow stamp from Anna’s stamp collection. I stamped them back to back so it looks like pattern paper.

Alice-border-stickers-3

These border stickers were super fun to use and so easy too.  This whole card is made from the border die cut sticker.  All I did was cover the entire card with the strips and added some ribbon and a sentiment.  Easy, right?

Alice-border-stickers-2For this card I cut up the border die cut sticker into strips and layered them in a circle like wreath. If you like to see more cards using Anna Griffin product, here’s my link to my Pintrest Board. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Anna Griffin Classic Christmas Paper

Alice-12-x12-paper-5Have you seen Anna Griffin’s Holiday paper from HSN?  These papers come in foil, embossed and the patterns are beautiful. I love how the papers can be mixed together.  I cut out some squares and folded them in to a triangle and trimmed the edges with decorative scissors to create the tree. I also used Anna Griffin’s border strips in between the tree layers for that extra touch.

anna-griffin-48-piece-classic-christmas-cardstock-kit-d-20130914003917187~276342There are 48 different patterns in Anna Griffin’s Classic Christmas set.

Alice-12-x12-paper-1I love paper folding so this collection was perfect for folding techniques. I cut out strips and folded them into a circle over another circle layer.

Alice-12-x12-paper-4I cut out strips of paper from a few patterns and weaved them together for this card.  Then I added a few embellishments also from Anna Griffin’s collection. If you have a minute check out the rest of Anna Griffin’s products.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Christmas Countdown

cropped-xmas-calendar.jpg

This is the first time I ever created one of these calenders.  It took awhile, but it was worth it. My hubby is going to surprise me with something fun for every day by leaving little hints in each pocket.  Today was the first day of December so he made me breakfast as the first surprise.

XMAS Calendar 6

I made little pockets for each day leading to the 25th day of December.  There’s little tags that pull out so you can write a little message.  My message this morning was to open the microwave to find out that hubby made me breakfast.

XMAS Calendar 8

I used Lifestyle Crafts envelope die to make all these envelopes. The paper collection is from Authentique’s Tradition collection.

XMAS Calendar 2

I had a few Petaloo flowers that I used on my calendar to give it some texture and some life.

Thankful Tag Book 9

The Family Traditions collections includes mini file folders , perfect size for the tags I used.  I adhered the file folder to the back of the front cover of my tag book.  I used the loose tags for my pictures for one side and a journal on the back side.  You can add ribbon and flowers like I did here.

Happy Halloween

wreath details 2

Happy Halloween.  Just a quick post today as I’m sure you all are super busy getting the kiddos off to school or planning a fun and spooky night.  Today, I’d like to share a tag wreath I created using tags.

wreath

I used two tag sizes and adhered them over each other in a circular shape for my base. I added trim from Petaloo’s Trim collection at the ends of each tag.

Next I layered flowers from Petaloo’s textured collection in greys, blacks and orange.  I finished the wreath using a black sheer ribbon and Petaloo’s Pumpkin Dazzlers. I think it took me about 30 minutes to put this all together.  Makes a great last minute Halloween decoration or a gift.  You can make this for any holiday or just for fun using all kids of colors or themes.  Also, you can switch out the flowers or add more.  The possibilities are endless. Hope you enjoyed today’s last-minute idea.

Thanks for coming by! Have a great Halloween and safe night!
