Too Cute to Roar

Hello cats details 2

You’re probably wondering, “why I’m I not making a Halloween card today?” These stamps didn’t scream Halloween to me even though they are dressed in costume.  They are just so adorable and I’m just out of ideas if I’m being honest…LOL

Hello cats detailsThis set has a lion, tiger and robot.  I think it’s missing a scarecrow…right?

Costume Set 2

Hello cats

I used a pocket die from Sizzix and Lifestyle Crafts feather die.  The paper is from American Crafts I got at Michaels.  The 6×6 paper pad does not have a name, but all the colors in this pad are neutral tones.  There’s dark brown, light brown, grey, cream and so on.  The patterns are simple and perfect for cards.  I finished the card with a string to pull everything together.

I’ll be back with more cards.  See you then!

Owl or Bat?

Owl 2

What’s so great about digital images?  Absolutely everything, especially these adorable digital images from Chi Chi Memories.  I couldn’t decide if I wanted a bat or an owl so this is what I ended up with.   This digital is from the, “Happy Halloween” set.   It’s like having a stamp that you can alter anyway you want. I’m hooked!

Happy Halloween

I couldn’t decide if I wanted to use the bat since it took attention away from my stamp.  The owl won of course and so I cut the bat out and used his wings instead…LOL  I also used Hero Arts stamps for my background.  Tiny little bats make a great background.  The cloud dies are from PaperTrey,  The stamp word spooky is also from PaperTrey.  I used a white pen to highlight the wings to give it detail so they pop off the card. Finished the card with a bow…ta da!

Thanks for visiting and I’ll back with more Halloween fun.  See you soon!

Celebrate with Chi Chi Memories

It’s official that summer is here with the 4th of July coming around the corner, it’s time to celebrate!  Here’s another Chi Chi Memories digi stamp set called, 4th of July.

There’s lots of layers on the set itself so it makes it fun to color.  This set is available now!

I used a silver marker to highlight and brighten some areas of the image.  If you look at the skirt on Candace, you’ll see that I used silver instead of leaving it white.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

A New Passion for Stamps.

I’ve been stamping and inking and coloring my little heart out lately.  It’s a new hobby for me and I really love it!  There’s so many ways to use stamps.  I went a little crazy this week and here’s a little sample of what I did.

I love the way this turned out and I couldn’t be happier with my novice coloring…lol.  These Hero Arts stamps really stamp nicely.  You get an even smooth finish .

Have you taken a look at Petaloo lately? If you haven’t you must!!!!!  There’s so many NEW goodies from their release at Summer CHA 2012.  I love their choice of colors and how they match most of the leading paper lines out there.  It makes crafting easy when you have great product to work with.

Color Me Crazy – Chipboard – Butterflies

Of course I can’t live with dies so here’s the set I used from Spellbinders.

A Halloween Bella Blvd

I know it’s not Thursday today, but better late than never, right?  For this week the Bella Blvd DT girls were asked to create cards and the best part is we can design with any line we choose from  Bella Blvd.  Here’s what I decided to make.

I love the whimsical look and feel of Halloween so when August comes around I get into the the Halloween spirit.  Bella Blvd has the perfect Halloween line called, “Too Cute To Spook“.  It’s been my go to Halloween paper.  The colors are so bright and happy and work well with any other Bella Blvd line.

Here’s the stamp set I used to create my card.  You can get any Bella Blvd co branded stamps from Unity.

For the background on my card, I used the back side of Cute Cuts from the Lovey Dovey collection.  I love this collection because it’s not your typical romantic line.  You can use it for anything really.  You’ll see why it’s so versatile when you view the whole collection.  Checkout A Cherry on Top to purchase this collection.

I also used  Too Cute To Spook collection to create the circle scallop that I used to mat my stamped image. There’s also matching chipboard letters and stickers that coordinate with this collection. You can find what you need  from A Cherry on Top.

Here’s a close up image of the scallop I used to mat the image.  You can find the Spellbinder Lacey Circles die from

Please visit the Bella Blvd blog to see more card inspiration and other cards designed by the DT and myself.  Have a great card making day!
