Father’s Day Frame

During our Blog Hop with Quick Quotes we used Petaloo’s NEW Burlap Blossoms and Quick Quotes NEW Serendipity paper collection.  I made this Father’s Day frame I bought at Michaels.  I love the happy soft colors and the designs from both companies.

I mixed the flowers with Petaloo’s Botanicas to add some different blooms.  The flowers come with these beautiful leaves that you can mix in…so pretty!

I’m not a fan of purple, but I thought this shade would go well with this paper collection from Quick Quotes.

I used Quick Quotes Powder Puff Chalk Ink and a paint brush to outline the frame.  Now that I look at it, i should of made the line thicker.  I also did some faux stitching around the frame as well to highlight using a black marker.  The ink pads were really nice to work with and I may have to buy some now that I got the chance to play with it.  A must have!!!!!

I glued paper around the entire frame and used a file to finish the edges.  Oops, I missed a piece…LOL.  I’m sure you cant see my mistake, but I can be a little OCD.

Just a few flowers wrapped on the edges give this frame a bit of elegance and style. Hopefully this will inspire you to make something for that special DAD or Man in your life.  Have a wonderful Father’s Day weekend everyone!
