Happy National Scrapbook Day!!!

What’s everyone doing today to celebrate National Scrapbook Day?  I’m at a crop today with some friends that I haven’t seen in awhile because we all live far apart form each other.  Days like this give us an opportunity to meet and have fun creating with our much loved hobby of crafting.  To kick start the day here’s a few cards I made to help me get in the spirit.

Mom-3-detail

I figured I take advantage of the day to start on my Mother’s Day cards so I don’t have to scramble at the last minute to get something made.

Mom-3

I used Vintage Bliss from Simple Stories and Petaloo’s NEW Penny Lane collection.  They go so well together, don’t you agree?

Mom

I have two Mother’s to make cards for.  One for my Mother In Law and the other for My Mom.  I used the Vintage Bliss collection as well and the Penny Lane flowers from Petaloo.

MOM-1

I hope you enjoyed the cards and have fun whatever you are doing to celebrate today.  Wishing you much happiness and lots of super duper fun whether you are home or out crafting some where.

Stamping with Hampton Art

I’ve been having fun using this stamp I found in the clearance bin at Michaels (craft store in America).  It’s a Hampton Art stamp called, Posy Collage. I stamped it a few time on to different matching papers and fussy cut them out onto black card-stock to make it pop.  I didn’t add any sentiments  because it was so busy to begin with so I left it plain.

Hampton Art Stamppaper pieced

I also used these NEW Accessories line from Petaloo.  These brads are uber cool!  I love the mix up of brads and colors. They match so well with a lot of the leading paper manufactures which is always a plus when creating.

You’ll find that Petaloo has a lot to offer with their huge line of gorgeous flowers.

Petaloo Ruffled Roses

Here’s a sample of the Penny Lane flower I used from Petaloo.  Click here to see all the colors these beauties come in.

Thanks again for visiting and I’ll be back with more from Cards by Alice.  Have a wonderful day!

Happy Day card

happy-day

I think this is my favorite card.  Is that okay to say that out loud?  I don’t mean to sound vein, but it makes me happy when I look at it.  Maybe it’s the hippos holding up the flowers?  I don’t know, but I giggle when I look at it.happy-day-detail

I used Petaloo’s Mulberry paper flowers and set the centers with Petaloo’s NEW Brads from their accessories line.

Aren’t these cute??? I love that there’s a mix of different brads…adorable!

I stamped these a few times and cut out the gift box image. Then I covered it with the flowers.

New Mini Mulb.Paper Delphiniums-Brites NEW

These are the flowers I used to on top of the hippos on my card.  I popped them up using foam adhesive.

Well that’s it for now, but I’ll be back and I’ll see you soon!

Stamping with Hero Arts

Lately I’ve been stamping and coloring a lot and I can’t believe I didn’t do this earlier.  As design team member for paper manufactures, it’s a little harder to use stamps if they don’t carry stamps in their collections.  It’s mostly paper and embellishments that they want us to use in our designs so I don’t get to play with stamps too often.

I know I used this flower stamp from Hero Arts in my last Scrap-Mart.com post, but I can’t help myself…LOL

Hero Arts Graph Background

I used the graph stamp for my background then I stamped the flowers separately.  After I stamped the flowers I colored them with Copics and cut them out and adhered them to my card.  I like doing that because it makes the flowers pop.

This month’s coupon code is, “CANDY CORN“  It’s a 40% off coupon for this month so come check out all the NEW craft supplies at Scrap-Mart.com

Have a great day!

World Card Making Day 2012

It’s World Card Making Day and I’ve been working on cards all day using some of my favorite craft supplies.  My two favorite brands are Taylored Expressions and Lifestyle Crafts.

I used my favorite stamp set from Taylored Expressions, Fa-BOO-lous!

I wasn’t sure where to put the sentiment so I created a pop up window.

I also used Lifestyle Crafts die called, Nesting Pinking Circles Die.  You can get this die today using coupon code CARDSBYALICE and receive 20% off.

I had an awesome time participating this year and look forward to next year.  Have a wonderful day!

Little Yellow Bicycle and Petaloo Blog Hop

It’s another awesome Blog Hop on the Petaloo Blog today!  Be sure to hop on over there and leave a comment to win win win.  Trust me you don’t want to miss these awesome prizes.

Mother’s Day is this weekend so I thought I make a couple of cards that will inspire you to create a few of your own.

On this card I die cut some honeycomb shapes to match my Petaloo flowers.  Then I folded the flowers over the die cut and add some Little Yellow Bicyclesticker leaves and rhinestone for texture.  Super cute and easy to put together!

This card was created using Little Yellow Bicycle Hello Spring collection and Petaloo’s Mulberry Paper Flowers.

New Mini Delphinium Mulberry Street Pastels

I die cut a few shapes using LYB Hello Springcollection papers and added the Birdy Dazzlers.  Simple and clean, perfect for a quick card and just in time for Mother’s Day!

Aren’t these little birdies adorable? They work so well with LYB Hello Spring collection. Almost like they were meant for each other.

Just in time for Spring, Flora Doodles!

Today I am using Petaloo’s Flora Doodles.

Flora Doodles come in lots of bright, fun colors.

Have a great day!

Card Exchange #1

Recently I joined a card exchange with a group of ladies from Scrapbook Deals 4 U and this is one of many cards that will be created in the months to come.  I really liked how this turned out, I’m sure I could add more detail to it, but I didn’t have any time.  Enjoy…

Card Keeper Class

Hi everyone, it’s been a long time since I last posted anything. I don’t know what’s wrong with me lately? I can’t seem to get projects done in a timely manner or get projects put together quick enough to post. Hopefully this next class will put me in a better place with my creative mojo. Trust me, I have tried everything from rubbing a Buddha to wishing on a star…I know it’s pathetic! I hope you can forgive my absence and look forward to creating again and sharing with you all.

So here’s the new class I have been working on. It’s a 9X9 12 pocket book you can use to hold card making creations to pictures or tags, whatever you want! I used the NEW Bo Bunny Press called Abbey. This class is scheduled for May 30th 2009 at the Scrapbook Garden.
