Last Card Standing

So I tried out for Last Card Standing contest by, Taylored Expressions Stamps on Spiltcoasters.com  a few weeks ago.  I didn’t make it, but to my surprise there was a WILD CARD slot and I thought to myself, “why not”.  I tried out for that contest and guess what???  I made it!!!!  I couldn’t believe it.

We made a card using one Taylored Expressions stamp and the theme is to create a card with a friend in mind.  This was my entry and you all know how much I adore Halloween…LOL.  It’s exciting and nerve racking at the same time to be among these elite card makers.  I’m so new to stamping so maybe that’s why I feel like an odd ball.  My next entry will up next week and the voting will begin…yikes.

Fa-BOO-lous stamp

“Floradoodles” Holiday Collection

I know it’s still July, but the holidays will be here before you know it!  Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I love decorating for it.  This year at CHA Petaloo debuted their NEW Floradoodles Holiday Collection and it was a hit!  What an awesome collection and the colors are so bright and perfect for any holiday crafting need.

I made this shadow box using Graphic 45′s Magic of OZ paper and used oodles of Petaloo flowers from the NEW collections.  It’s so perfect how well the details in the flowers work so well with this theme.  The leafs, the colors, each petal, each pearl and most of all the simple glitter lining…oh my!

I also used Tim Holtz embellishments to highlight all the beautiful flowers in the NEW Floradoodles collection.  Here’s a sneak peek at some of the awesome Petaloo flowers coming to stores near you.

Here’s a close look of what I’ve been talking about, cool right?  I love these little glass flowers and leaves.  There’s so much you can do with these fabulous flowers and I can’t wait to see what you come up with.  More to come and a Christmas shadow box in the making.

Thanks for coming by and I’ll be back with more fun using Petaloo!

I can’t wait for Breaking Dawn, part 2!

I saw this the other day and so I started to re-read the Twilight books again to get me going while I wait for the next movie.  Why does a good thing have to come to an end?  Did you run out and get this magazine?  I didn’t, but I do love the cover.

“Team Edward” card

I know it’s way too early for Halloween, but it will be here sooner than you know. Plus, I have so much to look forward to, like the next Twilight Movie!  Apologies in advance if you’re a Team Jacob fan, but you got to love Edward … he’s so dreamy!

I thought the Too Cute to Spook line from Bella Blvd is perfect for the occasion so I hope you Twilight fans will join me in making some fun Twilight cards.  In fact if you do make a card, email it to me and I will post it her on my blog.

Supplies:
Too Cute to Spook: Full Moon; Making the Team: Journaling Stickers; High Five Alphabets: Black-White, Green; Ciao Chip: Finally Fall

Halloween Layouts

Sorry I’ve been M.I.A for the past couple of months.  I have been working to get these fun pages out to  share with you all.  Not only am I sharing I will have the kits ready for sale on October 12,2008.  I am also teaching this layout class at the Scrapbook Garden.

I really like how these pages came out and I hope that I have inspired you all to create your layout magic.   If you know me personally I am a big Halloween fan, I love it all!

Everything here was made using Pine Cone Press Paper, Creative Imaginations Paper, The Little Yellow Bicycle Paper line and Bo Bunny Paper line.

Trick or Treat Card

Here’s a little something I made recently just because I was in the creative zone. It’s a jolt of creative juice I get every now and then, but it doesn’t last. What can I do to get motivated lately? It seems as though I lost my creative mojo and I want it back. Oh well, I’m sure it will come back, soon I hope.

It needed a little something so I added a bat, here’s the result.

Too Early for Halloween?

I know it’s WAY to early for Halloween, but I couldn’t help myself! If you know me personally, Halloween is a huge holiday for me…I love it! I had some left over paper from last year and I figure why not use it since we won’t be seeing any Halloween supplies until late August. Plus it’s a great way to get the creative juice going. If you read my last blog you’ll understand why I need the creativity flow. Here’s a card I made using Making Memories Paper, Karen Foster, stamps, stickers and ribbon.
