Color Me Crazy with Petaloo Flowers

CMC-Tag

I’ve been hard at work playing with these awesome flowers from Petaloo.  I love that they come in so many styles and and textures.  The flowers are called,” Color Me Crazy”.

WhiteFlowers

I love that you start with a white flower and after you have played til the cows come home, you get a masterpiece.

Tag 1

I started out with Color Me Crazy flowers in white.  Then I used Heidi Swapp’s Color Shine to color my flowers.  Next, I stamped the center of each flower with a stamped flower in black.  I added a Petaloo brad and tada…it’s a masterpiece!

Happy Day card

happy-day

I think this is my favorite card.  Is that okay to say that out loud?  I don’t mean to sound vein, but it makes me happy when I look at it.  Maybe it’s the hippos holding up the flowers?  I don’t know, but I giggle when I look at it.happy-day-detail

I used Petaloo’s Mulberry paper flowers and set the centers with Petaloo’s NEW Brads from their accessories line.

Item1920-009.jpg

Aren’t these cute??? I love that there’s a mix of different brads…adorable!

I stamped these a few times and cut out the gift box image. Then I covered it with the flowers.

These are the flowers I used to on top of the hippos on my card.  I popped them up using foam adhesive.

Well that’s it for now, but I’ll be back and I’ll see you soon!

Valentine’s cards

be-my-valentine

Valentine’s Day is coming and I’m sure everyone is wondering what to get or in my case what to make?  I try to keep it simple because we just had the expense of Christmas and so I try not to buy anything.  Here’s a couple of ideas on what you can do.

Make-and-Take

I used a favorite stamp background from Hero Arts and mostly everything else is from Petaloo.  These new Petaloo Vintage Dazzlers are a must have for your craft supplies.  They come with 4 themes in a pack, 2 of each which gives you 8 total.  They also come in different themes, like Halloween, Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving.

Make-and-Take-2

Petaloo’s NEW Valentine release is super duper darling and I know you’ll love the colors.  Keep in mind you can use these colors again for an anniversary, Christmas or any other time these colors call for.

Inks, Sprays and Stamps…take 2!

I have a new love for color.  Ever since I bought a few of Tim Holtz’s distress  and Dylusions sprays I’ve been creating these mix media pages.  It’s so therapeutic to sit and paint and make a mess that turns into something beautiful.  Here’s a little peek at what I did with inks, sprays and some white paint.

U-Give-Me-Wings-2-Fly-detai

I also added some stamping to my  page and some 3D embellishments to give it that extra flair.

First I covered the entire page with Gesso by GoldenI inked up the page with my favorite colors by Tim Holtz’s Distress inksThen I used white acrylic paint to cover and blot out dark tones or areas I wasn’t happy with and then used more distress inks to touch the areas
I stamped my flower stems and text and inked up the edgesAdd embellishments

You too can create this and your own art by just playing with the inks, sprays, stamps and whatever you wan to add.  It’s bee fun getting inky with you today.  Make sure you visit Scrap-Mart.com to get all your craft supplies.  Also use the 40% coupon from Scrap-Mart.com called, STOCKING…don’t forget!

Using a circle die/punch cut out 3 circles and glue the strips of glitter ribbon on top of each circle using fabric glue. Trim off the excess and you have a nicely glittered circle.  You can accomplish this with different shapes for texture on any craft project.

Stamps and Dies

Stamps and dies are a must for card making and I’ve been playing that duet for some time now.  Let me share with you my love of stamps and dies as I show a tag I’ve been playing with.

I used Tim’s Holtz’s dress form die, script stamp, tag, inks and white embossing powder.  I also used a background stamp from JustRite Stamps called, Heart Scroll.  Isn’t this stamp pretty?

Nothing is more flattering then Petaloo flowers to finish a project.  I love these flowers they have such great texture and the colors are super vibrant.

Blending with Tim Holtz Distress Inks

Wow…it’s been awhile since I blogged about anything, but I’ve been a busy girl crafting.  I have  a few things lined up that I haven’t been able to share.  First off let me tell you that Scrap-Mart.com has a ton of NEW product!!!  That’s right, you heard it here first!  You can use your coupon code, “STUFFING” to get 40% off your favorite craft supplies you’ve been holding out on.  Today I want to share a card I created using Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Embossing Powder and Stamps.

I started out by stamping my background with Tim’s awesome stamps. Next I stamped in white  over my background image and embossed with clear embossing powder to create a resist effect.  Then, I picked a few favorite colors from Tim’s Distress inks using Tim’s blending tool to create the festive background.

I also used Petaloo flowers and leaves to complete the project.  Can’t be 100% that all you see here will be available on Scrap-Mart.com because good things don’t last that long.  Hurry up and get your crafty goodness with Scrap-Mart.com
