Do you like texture on your cards. Here’s something you might need for your stash.
You may have seen these at your local craft store, but you don’t have a clue what to do with them? Today, I’d like to share a few ideas.
You can use the glass flowers as a center piece or as a center piece on another line of Petaloo flowers. The best way to adhere the glass flower is to use fabric glue, hot glue or high tacky glue. You can also use them with our Color Me Crazy flowers as a center and spray them with your favorite color sprays. You’ll get loads of color and texture.
We carry them in five different colors (black, white, Aqua, Rose and Orange). The stem of the flower is flexible so you can bend it.
Lately I’ve been addicted to making things with shadow boxes or just creating outside of my happy world of card making. I purchased this cute little shadow box house from Maya Road and I just love it! It’s a perfect medium size project to create with.
I used a lot of Petaloo product and you’re going to fall in love with their new collections…drool! Check out these beautiful Darjeeling flowers perfect for Valentine’s Day.
I applied some white ink chalk to the flower to add that vintage touch.
The other Petaloo product that I just adore are the Color Me Crazy Chipboardshapes. These chipboard shapes are super thick and durable. I used Viva Pearl Pens to decorate the details on the chipboard to make them pop.
I used Authentique’s Lovely paper collection which has lots of beautiful patterns and stickers, perfect for Valentine’s Day.
I can’t believe how fast time flies and every year seems faster than the last. Thank you for being part of Cards by Alice and for supporting me in 2012. I have made so many new friends on here and love seeing all of your creations. It’s nice to be part of something even though it’s through I don’t get to see you in person. May the holidays bring you closer and make you Merry! Happiness and love to you all!
Here’s one of the cards I taught at this year’s Scrapfest 2012. Thought I share it on here since it’s Christmas. Just a little fun.
Not sure how everyone feels, but for me, it’s the perfect time to start on my holiday projects. Today’s project is a Christmas shadow box I designed for Petaloo summer CHA 2012 show.
I used Petaloo’s fun and easy to use Dazzlers. Have you ever used these fun and charming embellishments? If you haven’t used them, you’ll fall instantly in love with them.
Dazzlers come in so many different themes. There’s Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter and the list goes on. Petaloo also carries these holiday leaves collection perfcet for up coming season. You’ll ooh and awe over these cute textures velvet leaves.
I’m sure you have seen all he NEW Spellbinder die releases from CHA Summer 2012, but if you didn’t you are in luck today! Scrap-Mart.com has the new dies available now. Use your Scrap-Mart.com coupon code, “Dog days” to get 40% off.
I created the window using several Spellbinder dies. First thing i did was use the decorative die cut on a piece of cardstock. After I have my cardstock cut out I layered the next die on top to create a window. Be sure that this whole piece is also layered over your card base so that it lines up when you adhere it to the card.
This is what I mean by layering your dies to create a window and frame.
I was so inspired with all the awesome flowers by Petaloo I wanted to make a card so you can see what other projects you can create.
I love that Petaloo’s flowers go so well with Tim Holtz products. It just shows how versatile Petaloo’s flowers are. There is something for every style.
The other great thing about Petaloo’s flowers is how they know what crafters like. Petaloo packages their flowers in color schemes. If you love a certain color you can have more of it in one bag. How cool is that????
Don’t just stop here, come back all week for more Tim Holtz and Petaloo on the Petaloo Blog. The whole team is working on some really cool stuff so don’t miss out. Also there’s a giveaway so be sure to leave a comment on Petaloo’s blog.
