Cards on Thursday

I love cards on Thursday at Bella Blvd It’s a special day for our card making team to share their talents.  Working with this talented bunch of ladies has been so much fun and I’m sorta sad that it’s coming to an end.  A new design team will be announced in a few weeks and you’ll get to love and see the talented works of new girls.

I love playing with scraps of paper and when I put this together it worked. Like many of you out there, I don’t want any of my Bella Blvd paper to go to waste!.

A Halloween Bella Blvd

I know it’s not Thursday today, but better late than never, right?  For this week the Bella Blvd DT girls were asked to create cards and the best part is we can design with any line we choose from  Bella Blvd.  Here’s what I decided to make.

I love the whimsical look and feel of Halloween so when August comes around I get into the the Halloween spirit.  Bella Blvd has the perfect Halloween line called, “Too Cute To Spook“.  It’s been my go to Halloween paper.  The colors are so bright and happy and work well with any other Bella Blvd line.

Here’s the stamp set I used to create my card.  You can get any Bella Blvd co branded stamps from Unity.

For the background on my card, I used the back side of Cute Cuts from the Lovey Dovey collection.  I love this collection because it’s not your typical romantic line.  You can use it for anything really.  You’ll see why it’s so versatile when you view the whole collection.  Checkout A Cherry on Top to purchase this collection.

I also used  Too Cute To Spook collection to create the circle scallop that I used to mat my stamped image. There’s also matching chipboard letters and stickers that coordinate with this collection. You can find what you need  from A Cherry on Top.

Here’s a close up image of the scallop I used to mat the image.  You can find the Spellbinder Lacey Circles die from Scrap-Mart.com.

Please visit the Bella Blvd blog to see more card inspiration and other cards designed by the DT and myself.  Have a great card making day!

Bella Blvd & Core’dinations Team-Up

The Bella Blvd DT has been busy working on projections all week, during our team-up with Core’dinations. I know that our Design Team members had a lot of fun putting these layouts and cards together, and loved the challenge of mixing in lots and lots of gorgeous cardstock! The Core’dinations designers have been sharing amazing projects on their blog as well, and we have loved seeing what they all came up with.

“My First Ride”

As a card maker I rarely do layouts, but I had a lot of fun making these Bella Blvd layouts with Core’dinations.

Supplies:
Sunny Happy Skies: Cute Cuts, Magic in the Sky, Creamsicle Clouds; Ciao Chip Elements: Clouds; Simply Simona Chipboard Alphas: McIntosh, Saltwater, Oyster

I’m so glad I had these great photos of my girlfriends kids.  We were at a carnival during, “CAR-MAGEDDON.” A busy main  high way was shut down for repairs over a weekend so the papers were calling it car-mageddon. The surrounding areas had lots of activities for people who could not travel and it was a great way to help business keep money in our local areas.

It was a small carnival, but we had fun with the kids and went on a couple of rides.  I’m sure you’ll see more layouts from me as time passes.  Since I don’t have any kids of my own I tend to borrow them from people I love.

Thanks Vicki Rouston for sharing the boys!

“Sweet Friend” card

I really enjoyed using Core’dinations color cardstock in my card making. It’s a sturdy card and the colors work really well with Bella Blvd lines. I used the Tillie Dot set and sanded it to achieve the dotted look.

Supplies:
Flirty: Party Girl, Bits A Bella, Label Additions
