I used the Summer timeset which I just love! The set has clouds, these cute two kids and other coordinating pieces. You’ll love it!
Check out the entire store. You won’t be disappointed.
I’m out of practice on my coloring so please forgive me as I find my way back. (did I tell you it will take some time…LOL)
I’ve been hard at work playing with these awesome flowers from Petaloo. I love that they come in so many styles and and textures. The flowers are called,” Color Me Crazy”.
I love that you start with a white flower and after you have played til the cows come home, you get a masterpiece.
I started out with Color Me Crazy flowers in white. Then I used Heidi Swapp’sColor Shine to color my flowers. Next, I stamped the center of each flower with a stamped flower in black. I added a Petaloo brad and tada…it’s a masterpiece!
Step 1
Step 2 spray your desired color and stamp the center.
You can achieve this easily just by adding color and stamping. Anything is possible when you use Petaloo’s Color Me Crazy collection. You should check out all the talent they have this week on Petaloo’s blog.
What’s everyone doing today to celebrate National Scrapbook Day? I’m at a crop today with some friends that I haven’t seen in awhile because we all live far apart form each other. Days like this give us an opportunity to meet and have fun creating with our much loved hobby of crafting. To kick start the day here’s a few cards I made to help me get in the spirit.
I figured I take advantage of the day to start on my Mother’s Day cards so I don’t have to scramble at the last minute to get something made.
I used Vintage Bliss from Simple Stories and Petaloo’s NEW Penny Lane collection. They go so well together, don’t you agree?
I have two Mother’s to make cards for. One for my Mother In Law and the other for My Mom. I used the Vintage Bliss collection as well and the Penny Lane flowers from Petaloo.
I hope you enjoyed the cards and have fun whatever you are doing to celebrate today. Wishing you much happiness and lots of super duper fun whether you are home or out crafting some where.
I’ve been having fun using this stamp I found in the clearance bin at Michaels (craft store in America). It’s a Hampton Art stamp called, Posy Collage. I stamped it a few time on to different matching papers and fussy cut them out onto black card-stock to make it pop. I didn’t add any sentiments because it was so busy to begin with so I left it plain.
I also used these NEW Accessories line from Petaloo. These brads are uber cool! I love the mix up ofbrads and colors. They match so well with a lot of the leading paper manufactures which is always a plus when creating.
You’ll find that Petaloo has a lot to offer with their huge line of gorgeous flowers.
Here’s a sample of the Penny Lane flower I used from Petaloo. Click here to see all the colors these beauties come in.
Thanks again for visiting and I’ll be back with more from Cards by Alice. Have a wonderful day!
I think this is my favorite card. Is that okay to say that out loud? I don’t mean to sound vein, but it makes me happy when I look at it. Maybe it’s the hippos holding up the flowers? I don’t know, but I giggle when I look at it.
I used Petaloo’s Mulberry paper flowers and set the centers with Petaloo’s NEW Brads from their accessories line.
Aren’t these cute??? I love that there’s a mix of different brads…adorable!
I stamped these a few times and cut out the gift box image. Then I covered it with the flowers.
These are the flowers I used to on top of the hippos on my card. I popped them up using foam adhesive.
Well that’s it for now, but I’ll be back and I’ll see you soon!
These are the dies I used when creating my card and you can get these beauties by using Coupon Code CARDSBYALICE and get 20% off your order. Check out Lifestyle Crafts today!!!
Embossing is super easy these days. Do you remember the brass templates? I can’t say I miss them…LOL
These are embossing plates from Lifestyle Crafts.I love these folders and I couldn’t image myself not using them when I create cards. Super easy to use as long as you have a die cut machine like the Evolution, Cuttlebug and Big Shot.
All you need is your Genius Platform and your die cut machine and presto you can emboss.
You can purchase your style of folders from Lifestyle Crafts using my coupon code (CARDSBYALICE) and receive 20% off your purchase. I hope you take advantage of this because it’s a great deal!
It’s another fun card making day on Cards by Alice. Today I’d like to talk about theGenius Platform from Lifestyle Crafts. I love making cards so I am always on the look out for tools to make my life easier when I create.
I really love using this platform with my die cutting machine. You can use these with the current Cuttlebug and the Big Shot. I like using multiple metal dies at once so this platform is perfect for that. Also, it’s a magnetized platform so your dies stay in place as you run it through your die cut machine. Genius, right!!!!
It’s priced at $49.99, but with my coupon code CARDSBYALICE you get 20% off just by using my code. Isn’t that great?
I used Lifestyle Crafts embossing card called, Floral. I used an ink chalk to highlight the flowers on the embossed image. You can also run your embossing folders using your Genius. Another reason why you want the Genius!
I also used the Arrows die set from Lifestyle Crafts as the stem for my flower.
This is another reason why you want this set because you can use it as a flower stem…LOL.
That’s it for today, but I’ll back soon with more cards from Lifestyle Crafts.
Do you like texture on your cards. Here’s something you might need for your stash.
You may have seen these at your local craft store, but you don’t have a clue what to do with them? Today, I’d like to share a few ideas.
You can use the glass flowers as a center piece or as a center piece on another line of Petaloo flowers. The best way to adhere the glass flower is to use fabric glue, hot glue or high tacky glue. You can also use them with our Color Me Crazy flowers as a center and spray them with your favorite color sprays. You’ll get loads of color and texture.
We carry them in five different colors (black, white, Aqua, Rose and Orange). The stem of the flower is flexible so you can bend it.
