Profile

My name is Alice Carman and I love to make cards.  I grew up in sunny California, where I still live with my hubby of 12 years and our 2 lovable dogs, Artemis and Frodo.  My passion for card making started about 10 years ago when I visited a local stamp store.  After that I became addicted to all things crafty.  Creating cards for me is a hobby that encompasses many of my interests – paper, stamps, ribbon, brads and buttons; all the ingredients to making the perfect recipe of cards. I have been designing and teaching card making at local scrapbook stores in southern California for the past 5 years and made some awesome friends along the way.  I just love card making and I’m so glad I found a calling to do this.

  1. Hi, my name is Melanie,
i love to make cards too. I started doing it when I was going through a divorce and needed something to keep me busy. In 2004 I found out that my dad had cancer, that’s when I really got into card making…I love to do it and see the reactions I get from my family and friends when I send them one of my handmade cards. I teach Iris folding to my kids classes and whoever wants to learn…but I don’t just do Iris folding….I am a very crafty person. It’s neat to see other peoples ideas, creativity, and the results.

    • You’re so sweet! I haven’t taught since my local scrapbook store closed a few months back. The other store I may teach at from time to time is Remember When in Valencia. Looking for a new store to teach at closer to LA or Long Beach area. Not sure…still looking.
